Imperial Guardians

In the wake of the Imperial event, the traditional power structures of the Marvel cosmos have been shattered and replaced by a new, fragile Galactic Union. To maintain order in this new landscape, the manipulative Maximus the Mad (of the Inhumans) assembles a deniable, black-ops strike team to handle the "dirty work" the Union cannot officially sanction. Described as "expendable and disavowed," this team is tasked with protecting the balance of the Union by any means necessary. The series explores themes of back-room political compromise and the moral toll of doing "the right thing" for the wrong people. Early plot points involve a rogue Kree Grand Admiral attacking Hala and a dark conspiracy within the Skrull Empire.
